This is the ANTARTICA BROADCAST NETWORK signing off with… ACCELERATOR

For a while, Marc, Jeff, and Ray experimented with adding guitar and vocals to their lineup. The idea was later shelved but meanwhile a little work did get done. Marc had been writing some songs with lyrics and the trio found a singer—so far unidentified since it was so long ago—who jumped in and really delivered the goods with his interpretation and a bigger than life vocal character.

Guitarist Al Korosy was the fourth instrumentalist on this song. Thanks go out to him for his skill and talent. I wish this had been in the cards in so many ways.

Accelerator is the 8th single in the ANTARTICA series—the 7th played live by the band in 1982-83—and the last of this series. Marc has repaired and mastered the less-than-perfect original stereo files and this has been the result.

Marc also created music videos for all of them…at times humorous, but always ridiculous. This became the components of the “Antartica Mythology”, enshrined forever in human history. Thanks for following along! Please join us again whenever you feel the urge….
